as we prepare to start something that i truly believe could change our world as we know it, i want to take a second to give you my pov:
it’s no secret that this country is shifting & molding into something new. whether you deem that to be good or bad is completely up to you, but for a single mom like myself it got a little more difficult.
for the sake of transparency, i started this because it was something that i was looking for after i had my first son. i was determined to prove that your life didn’t have to stop because you had a child, like i heard so many people say. but postpartum hit me pretty bad & i lost job, my main source of income, then i lost the time to put into my second source of income which started my hunt for a new job & childcare. long story short, here i am 3 years later with nothing but a toddler & a newborn. it’s so embarrassing to admit how much i rely on others just to make it through the day & ultimately i feel like i’m failing my kids. my boys deserve nothing less than the world, which is a sentiment i’m sure i share with most mothers. recently, i was watching them sleep & had this epiphany. i want to be the change i want to see. i need to be. because i can’t be the only person who feels this way.
